Initiative taken by Kalakad Yahoo group for the benefit of high school students at Kalakad:

The first batch of students were trained for a day on personality development related studies by Mr.Harihara Mahadevan, in association with Success club at Kalakad.

We now have got in touch with the Govt school and Meerania school, to take the same forward. Preliminary plans have been drawn to conduct this programme 3 to 4 times in a year for the students of 11th standard. In addition to Mr.HariharaMahadevan we intend to get more professionals to Kalakad with the help of Mr.Harihara mahadevan himself, who is a trainer cum HR consultant

Also Mrs. Mala Sridhar, nutritionist and w/o. Dr, Sivaramakrishnan, our member, is planning to give lectures on nutrition and related information to the school teachers so that they can share their knowledge with the students

Last but not the least important, we have noted with heavy regret the fact, the students of 9th standard in the Govt High school are still sitting in the floor due to lack of benches/tables. We are trying our level best to mobilise the required funds to solve this issue.

We wish to make the students at Kalakad familiar with the yahoo group so that on completing their education they can join the group, not only to remain united with their Kalakad friends, but also to keep their attention on needs of Kalakad in future and can address pressing issues without having the need to depend on government for everything.
